What you'll learn

This course shows project managers, site managers and quantity surveyors how to use Copilot to take the friction out of project work. You direct in plain English. Copilot does the assembly.

Now covering Copilot Cowork, Microsoft's agent for Copilot. We update this course as soon as Microsoft ships new features, so you train on current capability, not last year's.

Practical and hands-on, built around cost plans, programmes, variations, risks and site reports. You leave with prompt patterns you can apply to live projects the same week.

  • Stop wrestling with Copilot and start getting output you can actually use
  • Catch inconsistencies across drawings, specifications and tender documents before they cost you
  • Turn scattered project documentation into a single searchable source of truth
  • Automate the repetitive review and QA tasks that eat your billable hours
  • Know where to trust the output and where to check it, so governance never slips

Who it's for

Project managers, site managers and quantity surveyors who want Copilot doing the project admin so they can focus on the project. No technical AI background needed.

Project Manager
You are spending too much time on admin and not enough time on the project. This course shows you how Copilot handles the paperwork, reporting, and coordination so you can focus on delivering.
Site Managers
You need everything on site documented, tracked, and communicated without it eating into your day. This course shows you how AI takes care of the admin so you can stay focused on the work in front of you.
Quantity Surveyors
You are managing costs, contracts, and documentation across multiple projects at once. This course shows you how Copilot streamlines the heavy admin so you can focus on the numbers that matter.

Course structure

Module 1· 5 November, 10am - 11am

Tech check

One week before the main course. You arrive on Day 1 ready to work, not troubleshooting licences. We confirm you have the right Copilot licence, check access to Copilot in Office Apps, Chat plus all the latest features, and make sure everything runs from the first minute of the workshop.

Module 2 · 12 November, 10am - 2pm
Immersive 4 hour deep dive

You build structured prompts that check drawings against specifications, cross-reference tender documents and produce consistency every time. You create simple Agents that automate bid analysis and document QA workflows. You assemble searchable knowledge bases from project documentation so Copilot works only with your sources. Concepts are taught by doing, not by watching slides.

Module 3 · 19 November, 10am - 11am
Hackathon

Bring a live problem from your own desk. You apply what you built in Module 2 to real project data, with support in the room, and leave with a working output you can use the next day.

Our team builds automations. Your team runs them.
Agent Build
This course is where it starts, not where it ends. For those who are ready to go further, the AI Institute works directly with estate agency teams to build automations  - listing workflows, tenant screening pipelines, client communication sequences  - and hands them back through targeted training so your team can run and maintain them without depending on outside support.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a coding or technical background to take this course?

None at all. Our courses are specifically designed for working professionals, executives, and design teams who want practical AI skills, not a computer science lecture.

  • If you are taking a Copilot course, basic familiarity with standard Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, Outlook) is all you need.
  • For Claude Code, Claude handles the actual coding while you direct it using plain English.
  • For visual or industry-specific paths like Nano Banana or Built Environment, we focus entirely on practical workflows, layout options, and project management—never complex programming.
Is my project and financial data secure, and can I use my own files?

Yes, absolutely. Security and confidentiality are our highest priorities, especially for our AEC and Finance cohorts:

  • Data Privacy: Microsoft Copilot and Claude enterprise plans respect your existing corporate IT permissions. The AI only sees data you are already authorized to access, and your inputs are never used to train public models.
  • Course Work: Live workshop sessions use anonymized dummy data so you can focus entirely on mastering techniques in a safe environment. You will then be given clear frameworks to confidently apply those exact same prompts to your live, proprietary project files between modules.
How is this training different from free courses or generic AI tutorials?

The market is flooded with generic "how to write prompts" videos. Our edge is entirely different:

  • Live, Expert Facilitation: You are learning in real-time alongside an executive-level peer group, guided by practitioners from companies actively deploying AI in the real world.
  • Always Up-to-Date: The second an AI model drops a new feature, we rebuild our exercises. You are getting a cutting-edge playground, not stale theory.
  • Workflow Integration: We don't just teach tools in a vacuum; we show you exactly how they talk to your existing ecosystem - whether that’s integrating Claude with Microsoft 365 or feeding Nano Banana concepts downstream into Revit, Rhino, and Photoshop.
